Parent Meeting / First Practice: January 17, 6:30 p.m. at St. Alphonsus gym

St. Al’s and St. Raphael’s. All practices for 6:30 – 8:00

Tuesday, January 17 – Parent meeting / practice – St. Al’s

Friday, January 20 – St. Raphael’s

Monday, January 23 – practice – St. Al’s

Friday, January 27 – practice – St. Raphael’s

Monday, January 30 – practice – St. Raphael’s

Tuesday, January 31 – practice – St. Al’s

Practices usually are on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Friday based on gym availability at either St. Alphonsus or St. Raphael. Boys should bring clean and dry gym shoes, shorts/sweatpants, t-shirt, and water bottle to each practice.

Participation is the number one priority.

Each member school will participate in a dual meet season which may be made up of dual or multiple team events, as scheduled by the Wrestling Director. Our primary goal is for every boy to wrestle in every meet.

Individual tournaments for two levels will take place during the final week of the season.

The North Suburban Parochial School League has been a starting point for many successful high school (& college) wrestlers. In its 20+ year existence, league alumni have earned over 300 high school varsity wrestling letters, with over 100 participating in the state high school individual and team tournaments, and to date over 100 individual qualifiers!

Totino-Grace~1997/1999-2002 (Class 3A) and Meadow Creek-Alliance Academy~1999 (Class 1A) are parochial high schools who have gone to state as teams with a majority of their squads made up of former NSPSL wrestlers. Many form NSPSL wrestlers attending public schools have gone on to wrestle as individuals at the State Tournament.

NSPSL programs, in coordination with excellent high school programs, have produced to date over 30 state individual medallists, including five individual state champions and three 2nd place finishers!

More importantly...no one has ever been turned away or cut from any high school wrestling team!!!
